STAGE-BY-STAGE PROCESS
Our professional low-pressure treatment safely removes moss, mould, lichen and algae at the root. The natural cleaning process then continues over time with the help of rain and weather.
Stage 1:
Inspection
Roof inspected and moss level assessed. Areas of heavy growth identified.
Application
Professional low-pressure realment applied. Safe for the roof and surrounding areas.
1-4 Weeks
Treatment penetrates and kills moss, mould and lichen at the root Moss changes colour and starts to break down.
1-3 Months
Dead moss continues to break down The roof may look patchy as the process continues.
3-6 Months
Rain naturally washes away dead moss and debris. The roof appears much cleaner.
6-12 Months
Roof looks significantly cleaner, with long-term protection achieved.
Stage 2: Protection
Once your roof is clean, we lock in the results. Our Stage 2 treatment applies a protective coating that stops moss, mould, and lichen from coming back — keeping your roof looking freshly treated for longer and protecting the surface underneath.

Founded in 2019 by known locally as Larry — The Moss Crew, started out treating roofs across Hawke’s Bay and has since grown to service the North Island, from Hawke’s Bay up to Auckland.
