At The Moss Crew, we use a professional-grade treatment containing 50–51% Benzalkonium Chloride, a highly effective quaternary ammonium compound (Quat) trusted throughout the cleaning and property maintenance industry for controlling moss, lichen, algae, mould and other organic growth.
Our treatment does not contain chlorine bleach. Unlike chlorine-based products, Benzalkonium Chloride works by targeting organic growth at its source without the strong odours and harsh effects often associated with bleach-based treatments.
Applied at low pressure, our treatment penetrates moss and lichen and continues working over time, allowing natural weathering to remove dead growth while helping to protect the integrity of your roof.
